As you might imagine almost all of my thoughts are centered around the arrival of my 1502. I should receive the title, and service records along with a 1502 badge this week!
Since I don’t have much to do but wait at this point I have been thinking about all of stuff I want to do to it besides drive the piss out of it. If you can’t tell from the picture, the BMW Roundel on the back is matching green as opposed to the traditional blue/black. I’m thinking I want to swap that for an original roundel, or go complete the “turbo” look by adding the rear spoiler as it already has the front bumper and fender flares.
I’m thinking that I would have the spoiler painted to match instead of leaving it black like the car below. I’m a ssuming that it will look better on my car because it does not have the chrome trim.
I would then maybe add a traditional roundel in the center of the wing. I’d love to put a roundel to right of the plate, but my car has something there that appears to be paint.
So what say Oppo?
Leave it?
Just change the roundel?
Add the wing?
-Keep it black or paint it?
-Add a roundel? If so where?

Add black spoiler/lip , keep color match roundel. its a cool little piece IMO

I like your style. Honestly I don’t know if I would even be thinking about changing it if the ring was black. I don’t know how I’d accomplish that, I guess I’ll have to see how it was done in the first place.

So you’d add the spoiler, leave it black, and incorporate the green roundel? That could be cool! I’m glad I asked, I’ve already received two responses with ideas I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.

Seriously. The wing, exhaust, fenders, and wheels all scream Stancenation. Then their is a rollcage... is this car having an identity crisis?

i.... would leave it as is
but if you have to get the spoiler... be sure to get a rubber one... they;re fun to touch

I probably will leave it at least out of the gate. I can’t find the wing for less than $500 and I’d figure another couple hundred to get it painted. That’s too much to spend before I know what sort of things I will actually need.

I’d add a painted wing, and put the roundel to the right of the plate. I suspect the lettering there is just a sticker for a dealer/specialist

Appearance wise, I'd probably leave everything as is for a little while to see how I feel about it. That money might be better spent in repairs or something more urgently needed.

Yea that will eventually be an issue as the car is fitted with 4 point harnesses. They’re anchored behind the rear seats so even sitting in the back is kind of out at the moment.

In all reality that is what I will do. I’m just daydreaming at the moment . I’m hoping to find someone who knows about carburetors and tuning them. Also someone who would be willing to teach a novice a thing or two.
The c ar has got two Weber 40 DCOE carbs. I’m trying to read everything I can about them but I would love to learn from a master.

I think a body color spoiler would really complete the look. I dig that green roundel. A standard blue and white strikes me as a downgrade on this car.

Yea all of my ideas really hold no weight until I see it in person. I’m also guessing that as soon as I drive it I won’t care about the minor details until I’m way out of the honeymoon phase.
